Winbush, Mrs. Gatlin is the product of a ministry family and reared to have a heart for people. Mrs. Gatlin a tremendous leader and makes her contribution as a member of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. The Church of God in Christ is a 6.5 million member organization under the leadership of Bishop Charles E. Blake. She serves faithfully in a local congregation and the national level. She is the “First Lady”/Pastor’s Wife of the Gethsemane Church of God in Christ in Lafayette, Louisiana and the First Church of God in Christ, Crowley, Louisiana. She also supports her husband in his roles as Bishop of Trinidad/Tobago and President of the International Sunday School Department. Mrs. Gatlin is committed to the development of women and families. She is the Director of Victorious Women of God Ministries (VWG) based in Lafayette, Louisiana. VWG Ministries seeks to empower women of all walks of life through community outreach and specialty/educational programs. VWG Ministries focuses on the total health of women mind, body and spirit. Her contribution to Women’s additionally evident in her role as Director of the Women’s Ministries in her respective local congregations. She is also the Supervisor of the Department of Women of the First Jurisdiction of Louisiana. She serves the International Department of under the leadership of Mother Willie Mae Rivers. She is a member of the National Executive Board of the International Department of Women and Chairperson Board of Supervisors Circle Number Two. She is currently leading the first national “GO RED” initiative in partnership with the American Heart Association. This program is positioned to impact the heart health and awareness of more than 2,000 congregations in the United States. Mrs. Gatlin is a Gospel recording artist who has shared in more than 30 years of ministry. Her contributions include music ministry in piano and Gospel choir organization and performance. Her gift skill and training have all allowed her to provide leadership to gospel choirs at the university level and churches throughout the nation. Her original recordings include “Great Day”, the writing, recording and producing of the well-known single, “I Belong To God”, recorded by the 500 voice First Jurisdiction of Louisiana Church of God in Christ Choir. Mrs. Gatlin contributes to her community as a Board Member of the Acadiana Symphony and Orchestra and a Team Director for the Susan G. Komen Foundation (Acadiana Area). She was educated at the University of Louisiana receiving a degree in Performance – Voice. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree from Atlantic Coastal Theological Seminary. She is the wife of the visionary Bishop Alton E. Gatlin (Prelate, Trinidad & Tobago Jurisdiction) and mother of two sons, Brandon and Paul (and wife, Khalisha) and grandmother of four.
